Bobrycki a good deal for Best Buy, 5-3. |
| Week 8
Perhaps it was the Krowiak-dump that Rick took before the game. Perhaps it was just shooting on a shaky goalie. Whatever the reason, Rick Bobrycki lit up the scoreboard with two goals and two assists to help Best Buy get by Toys R Us 5-3. "I just feel more relaxed in the Ladies' room," said Bobrycki. "And they have places to put your napkins too." After the Terminator put the Toys up 1-0, Bobrycki got busier than a Teacher's Union Member on the eve of the Question 1 vote. He scored. He passed. He nearly passed out too. When the dust settled, BBB's 4th point of the game was an assist on a Mark Kramer goal with 1:34 left to put Best Buy up 4-3.
Toys R Us pulled their goalie, but Mike Cormican would hit Don Fortini with an offside pass for the open net goal and the coffin in the nail. "They were missing some key guys today," said Bill Osbahr of Osbahr Sand & Gravel. "Not having Raimo or Murphy in your lineup can limit your offense." The Big Three of Maffeo, Deskin, and Hanson all combined on one goal, but otherwise were as useful as Peg Bundy. "As seen in all of these photos, their defense is terrific," said Maffeo. "Rene thinks it's him, but even our goalie would get a win with all five guys helping out down low. It's something our team talked about, but like Life Cereal, nobody really wanted to be the first to try it." Best Buy improves to 7-1 and well on their way to the T-shirt game.
