Splits get shaken in OT, 4-3.

We're not sure why Jeff Whittemore was on the first shift in OT, but his slurpy shot from the blue line went in clean on a screened Paul Harty to give the Shakes the win.

BS is now winless at 0-3.

It all started back in the first, when only 10 Shakes were on the bench. Captain Peeps divided them up into 2 lines, putting the five worst guys on the "B" line.

After George "The Emperor" Anderson put the Shaked up 1-0, Lloyd showed up and that screwed up the lines.

"Now we gotta rotate some of the good guys to play with Wilkinson," said Armand.

Paul Albano would set up Mark Kramer in the slot, and he beat the slow Shake goalie to tie the score at 1-1.

"We may have to score 9 again this week to get a win," said Wilkinson.

In the 2nd period, Albano won an offensive zone faceoff back to newbie Luke Stiegerwald at the blue line, and with the help of the Force, Luke sent a rocket past a bewildered Harty in the BS net.

"It wasn't a rocket, I could read the label on the puck as it went by me," said Chris Caruso. "Our goalie just has trouble with the slow ones."

Up next was Mike Saia, as Albano completed the hat trick by setting up forward #9 on the depth chart.

Down 3-1 and his team in disarray, Armand was forced to play Woody-like defense. Luckily the plan worked and The Emperor stepped up with his 2nd goal to cut the lead to just 3-2.

"All he does is score goals," said Lloyd. "And slash people."

In the third, after Saia was called for more in the crease violations, Lloyd went in and tied the game at 3-3 on a super individual effort.

"Is that what you call it when a guy doesn't pass on a 3 on 1 break?" asked Rick Wilson.

Each team had a couple of nice chances to win it in regulation, but nobody could beat either of the shaky goalies.

The game went into OT, where Wilkinson dropped the puck back to Whittemore at the BS blue line. With The Emperor going to the net, Whittemore laid one at his feet. The Emperor never saw it, but neither did the BS goalie and it rolled in for the GW.

A fitting way for the Splits to wrap up the 0-3 road trip.
