A real goalies duel, 8-5 Lowes.

Week 2

There was an NHL goalie named Ron Lowe. The BBHC has the Chinese equivalent in their goalie named How Lowe.

Both Benassi and O'Connor were fighting for the rights for that name as they combined to allow thirteen goals in the north rink.

The goals came so fast in the first period, that the Good Neighbor managed to get out of his 2005 scoring slump a few seasons earlier than expected.

"I'm the Sarah Palin of the BBHC, complete with lipstick and all," said Wilkinson. "And that would make Mike Saia the Obama of the league. Neither one have the background to be a team leader."

Up 4-1 after one, the Lowes team sat back and tried to let O'Connor win it for them. Brion that is.

That was the wrong decision.
To sit back that is.

Four straight 2nd period goals by Toys R Us had the teal team up
5-4 at 2nd recess.

"Here at Toys R Us, we don't play around," John O'Connor. "We may have a hard time with the plastic hammer now and then, but never count us out."

But early in the third the momentum swung around like a Gloucester high school sophomore at a beach beer bash. The Good Neighbor scored twice. At the rink, not the beach. And McCarthy and Chapman each chipped in with one as Lowes took the lead back for good.

"We discussed pulling our goalie with the 3 goal lead," said Brian Armand. "We figured our chances at holding the lead would be better with 5 skaters and no goalie."

Seventeen points were doled out to the Lowes team in their 8-5 win, and none went to Saia.

"They put me on a line with Lloyd," said Saia. "How can I go behind the other team's net and get some points when my defensive partner is already there?"

"I want to know the name of Beef's crack dealer," said Lowe mucker Brian Armand. "I mean, O'Connor lets the Toy Soldiers tie the game on an 80-foot slapper by Phatt that first bounces off his glove, and then off his head, and into the net, and he still manages to get on the Hot List? What's up with that? And no mention of my nose-to-the-grindstone two-way effort?! I should have stayed retired ... "
