Toys R Us hits Target in 4-1 win.

Week 1

The team predicted to go 12-0 managed to score only one goal on opening day in a 4-1 loss to a Rick Breed team.

Chris Vieira had a big day picking up a couple of goals, and we think a couple of penalties.

"Has anyone ever led the league in points and in penalty minutes?" asked Vieira. "I mean besides Mike Cormican?"

John O'Connor actually scored the first goal of the season for any team, as he tallied just 7:20 into period one for Toys R Us.

"He scores about as often as OJ Simpson goes to trial, once every 10 years," said Rick Armand. "Figures it had to be today."

Vieira made it 2-0, and that's how period one ended. The teams went scoreless in period two, and it looked like someone would get a shutout. Darren Grava though ended that thought, as he got the only goal of the day for the red Target team.

Trevor Hanson added a late meaningless goal, as did Vieira in the Toys R Us rather easy 4-1 win.

"And I thought last season's team was bad..." said Paul Albano.

"Sorry I missed Friday…Is the trade deadline over yet?" asked Mike Uretsky as he stood outside Mass General Hospital waiting to hear on the Tom Brady MRI.
