The Snow Cones rolled all over the grumpy Fudgesicles and their sour attitudes on Friday with an impressive 6-1 win. Mike Chapman had two goals before Tarr knew what happened. And when Bill Osbahr made it 3-0 early in the 2nd, all the navy team could do was whine. Jumbone led the chorus, and soon the other Teal chimed in with perfect harmony. While one team was singing the blues, the other team was lighting the red light. Morin, Hardy, and Bruner all scored to push the lead to a six pack. If not for a late meaningless goal by part time forward Mark Melito, this would have been a shutout for Cooz. "Yeah he nearly stopped all 5 shots," said Al Peterson of Cooz. Before the game Steve Hardy showed up really late, and indicated he didn't even want to play hockey. "I'm kind of glad I did," said Hardy. "I love watching all these guys bitch when they lose. And to think, I almost volunteered to ref today." Round one of the playoffs take place next week with these same two teams going head to head in a best of three. "Guys, I want to thank you for the Cruise tickets, but won't that make me miss both weeks of the playoffs if I go," asked Melito. "That's funny, it looks like I'm rooming with you on the ship," added Ken Tarr looking at his envelope.
