| Week 11

Best Buy clinched first place back around July
4th, so the only thing they have to play for is Bobrycki's stats.
Apparently that wasn't enough inspiration as
they lost 6-1 to Target.

Best Buy had all 13 skaters, which apparently is
not a good thing.
"We haven't announced our playoff roster yet,
but I doubt there will be 13 names on it," said Bill Osbahr.
Target had 10 skaters. Missing: Teal, Carman, Desrosiers.
Or in hockey terms, a slash, a minus 4, and Mr. Token Shift.

It was 1-1 after one, then Best Buy rolled over
faster than a Mass. Senator can stuff a wad a cash in her bra.
Move of the game: From his own blue line, Johnny Gambale deking out Beach
Peterson and leading the rush. A lot of cheers and jeers from both benches
on that one. Peterson was not seen in the breakfast lobby after the game.
"It has nothing to do with embarrassment," said
Peterson. "I have to get home and put out my trash for tomorrow's pick up."
Both teams managed to stay out of the crease until the second period. So,
unbelievably, no penalties called but one in the crease call was made by the
lone ref.
Mikey V looked really sharp. First time all season. Maybe because backup
goalie Speed Bratt was watching, licking his chops?
"I'm not sure if they were using Speed for
inspiration or desperation," said Vieira.
George Anderson and Paul Maffa looked like
season veterans scoring their Kotex goals late in the blowout.
